Never. Girlfriend fabrics were optimized for recyclability so those are way easier to turn into fabric for new clothes again. However, the process isn’t perfect (and we take back clothes from any brand, which often don’t have the same fabric content), so there’s a chance that some things may be downcycled. But nothing is ever sent to the landfill.

Send us your used (but clean, please) clothes from any brand, in any condition — from gently used to worn-but-washable. If it can’t be reused, it will be responsibly recycled. Just make sure items are clean and dry before you send them in. We accept up to 10 pieces per shipment.

Once you initiate the recycling process, you will receive a prepaid shipping label in your SuperCircle account and via email. Once your shipment has been dropped off, you will receive your recycling rewards (in the form of personalized codes) in your SuperCircle account.
You may use one SuperCircle code on a single purchase, which is valid for up to 30% off your next order. For example, if you have a reward amount of $30, your order will need to be $100 or more to redeem the full amount.Need to breakdown your rewards? When you send something in, our partners at SuperCircle assess each item to find its best next life — whether that’s reuse or recycling (via upcycling or downcycling). Whenever possible, items in good condition are resold to be re-loved. Items that can’t be reused are responsibly recycled — either upcycled into new materials (like yarn or fabric), or downcycled into industrial uses. Our goal is to keep every item out of landfill and give it a thoughtful, traceable next chapter.
