We first launched ReGirlfriend in 2019 in an effort to keep Girlfriend Collective as circular as possible and tackle a glaring industry issue: 85% of all textiles end up in landfills each year.
We were the first recycling program of our kind, taking back old Girlfriend garments and turning them into brand new Girlfriend fabric again. We even engineered our core fabrics (like Compressive and FLOAT) to have the optimal fabric content for them to be easily broken down, recycled, and re-woven into brand new fibers.
We're thrilled you continue to embrace the ReGirlfriend program. That’s why we're excited to announce a big step forward in partnership with leading circularity platform, SuperCircle.
The problem (still):
We live in a world where 85% of textiles end up in the landfill and 92 million tons of textile waste is produced every year. That's the equivalent of a full trash truck every second.
ReGirlfriend’s (new) solution:
We're charting a new path forward on our journey towards true circularity. In partnership with SuperCircle, ReGirlfriend is now more comprehensive and advanced, keeping textiles out of the landfill and rewarding our community along the way.
